This week, we put together this stunning custom complete BMX using a Total Americano frame. The bike was tailored to meet the customer’s request for a responsive park build. With its low standover height and short back end, the Total Americano frame was the perfect choice. A carefully curated selection of chrome parts brought it all together, resulting in a truly beautiful bike.
At Soulcycle, we take great care not only in selecting the right parts but also in assembling them with the utmost precision. For instance, we ensure the chainline is as straight as possible. A straight chainline minimizes wear and tear, reduces noise, and enhances overall performance. Whether we’re building a complete bike or simply replacing your cranks, we always measure carefully—from the center of the seat tube to the sprocket, and from the middle of the rear dropouts to the driver. We then adjust the spacing accordingly to achieve a chainline that’s millimeter-perfect.
Aside from the chainline, we also dedicate time to perfecting the bike’s front end. When installing the fork, we make sure to position the stem at the ideal height—leaving enough space for optional gyro setups while avoiding an overly tall stack of headset spacers. For this build, we determined that cutting 8mm off the steerer tube achieved the perfect balance of height, aesthetics, and space for the gyro.
