📋 Contest Info – Format, Classes & Judging

🏁 Soulcycle Shred the Shack – Sunday, May 18

On Sunday, May 18, we’re hosting two categories during Soulcycle Shred the Shack 2025 as part of Urban Sports Week Amsterdam: the Women’s UCI C1 Class and the Under 15 Class.

📍 Location

Skatepark – NDSM, Amsterdam
NDSM-Plein 1, 1033 WC Amsterdam
Outdoor park at the iconic NDSM wharf.

🏆 Classes

👩🦰 Women’s UCI Class (C1)

  • For female riders aged 15 and up
  • UCI license or day license required to compete
  • UCI license holders can earn C1 points
  • Day license riders can participate but do not earn points
  • Maximum 10 riders

🧒 Under 15 Class

  • For riders under 15 years old
  • No license required
  • Same format as other categories
  • No UCI points
  • Maximum 20 riders

💶 Entry Fee: €20 per rider (all classes)

    📋 Contest Format

    • Two rounds: Qualification + Final
    • Riders are randomly assigned to heats
    • Each rider gets 2 runs of 1 minute per round
    • Qualification: average of both runs counts
    • Final: best run counts

    Final Selection:

    • With 9–15 entries: Top 8 advance to Final (2 heats of 4)

    • With 5–8 entries: Top 4 advance to Final (1 heat of 4)

    • Each heat includes a warm-up

    🧮 Judging & Scoring

    Each judge scores from 0.00 to 99.99. Riders are judged on:

    1. Difficulty – Trick level, placement & combos
    2. Height – Amplitude of tricks
    3. Flow – Smoothness and consistency
    4. Originality & Versatility – Unique tricks and lines
    5. Style – Personal expression and control
    6. Progression – Innovation and evolution
    7. Variety – Mix of airs, rotations, grinds, etc.
    8. Risk Factor – Commitment and danger level
    9. Landings – Clean, controlled finishes
    10. Use of the Course – Full, creative use of the park
    11. Execution – Precision and quality
    • Final Score: average of all judges’ scores
    • Qualification: average of both runs
    • Final: best of 2 runs
    • Individual scores are not published

    • Pre-registration is required
    • No on-site registration
    • Helmet required for all riders
    • Entry = agreement with contest rules
    • Max. 10 riders in Women’s Class / Max. 20 in Under 15
    • Entry fee: €20 per rider
    • Free entry for spectators – come watch and cheer!

    ⚠️ Note: This is an outdoor event. In case of heavy rain or extreme weather conditions, the contest will be cancelled.
